Poor handles corporate, contractual, transactional, regulatory and environmental matters on behalf of agricultural producers, cooperatives and value-added enterprises. Poor has represented farmers and ranchers in Colorado, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Missouri and Iowa. Poor has worked with orchards, vineyards and aquaculture producers. Poor served as in-house counsel to Green Plains Renewable Energy, a vertically-integrated firm with 13 grain elevators in Iowa and Tennessee, 6 ethanol plants in Nebraska, Iowa, Indiana and Tennessee and 9 blending terminals throughout the Southeast. Poor worked in pork project development for Seaboard Farms in Southwest Kansas and the Oklahoma Panhandle. He has represented cattle feeders and worked as an advisor in grain elevator acquisition in Colorado, Texas and Illinois.
